Very Cool Sunburst 1970s ('71-'77) Ibanez 2355 Single Cutaway Archtop in Very Good Condition!

We love a guitar with a story & this one is very cool indeed! Today we have a beautiful 1970s Made In Japan Ibanez 2355 finished in this stunning 2-tone sunburst!

" The 2355 is a Gibson ES-175 style hollow body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1971. The 2355 features a full-sized, single cutaway, full hollow body design with an arched laminated maple top with ƒ holes and multi-layer binding and maple back and mahogany sides mated to a set-in one-piece mahogany neck with an open-book headstock design and a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and mother of pearl split Parallelogram position markers. Components include dual Ibanez Super 70 humbucking pickups with individual volume and tone controls; a height-adjustable ebony bridge with a T-bar trapeze tailpiece; a bone nut; a black wide bevel 5-ply pickguard, Sure Grip III knobs and chrome individual tuning machines. The 2355 was a very brazen copy of the "Gibson ES-175". In the early 70's Ibanez set out to make high-precision replicas of Gibson's top-end instruments. So successful were they that Gibson sued to stop production, which was subsequently halted under court order. Our 2355 is in very good condition and has been very well kept by its previous owner(s), aside from the missing pickguard & replaced tuners (Currently fitted with Schaller tuners / originals not included) this 2355 is all original. The only thing to note on the instrument's condition is a few dings and scratches around the body & headstock that you'd expect on an instrument of at least 47 years of age! and some missing binding on the bottom of the fretboard (pictured). otherwise this is a lean mean jazz machine with plenty of miles left in it!

As is standard practice with any new arrival in store, this very cool 2355 has been through the trusted hands of our team in our onsite workshop to ensure it is in tip-top shape for its new home and owner!
