Marshall JMP 1987 2-Channel 50-Watt Guitar Amp Head 1967-8 Black

This is a very rare and original early example of a Marshall JMP50 Model 1987 Plexi "Small Box" 50watt head. Made between 1966-1967.

This amplifier has had just one single owner since the early 1980's and has been rarely used and stored in its custom-made flight case which is included in the sale.

These are legendary amps and this example will not disappoint. All original transformers and Hunts capacitors. Serial number S10888.

The only changes that we can see are the following; Modern IEC mains socket 9Fitted for safety reasons) The Impedance selector is currently hard wired @ 4 ohms but this can be easily reversed if desired. The original rectifier valve seat is in place but, as with many other amps like this, the valve has been replaced by a Diode, again an easy thing to reverse for the next owner.

Note to our North American customers, you can change the voltage to 110-115v.

The cabinet and Tolex are in great shape and all bar two of the front panel control knobs are original. Please study or pictures carefully as these form part of the description. More can be provided by request.
