Gibson CS-356 Custom Shop Flame Top 2004

2,999.00

This is a rare Gibson Custom Shop Historic Series CS-356 Semi hollow electric guitar flame top

The build of this guitar is very interesting, a carved Mahogany body (With center block) with a beautiful highly figured flame Maple cap, pure class. Ebony finger board with classy block inlays.

The body is double edge bound, as is the head stock with split Diamond pearl inlay and a pearl Gibson logo. Gold hard wear including gold Kluson vintage style machine heads, ABR-1 Tune-o-Matic bridge and two 57 Humbuckers. Weight is only 7.29lb, the top nut is 1 11/16” and it has a 24 3/4 scale,

The condition of this guitar is very good, with just very light playing mark as you would expect from home use. Plays and sounds as it should with a nice set up. There is a slight finish bleed into the cream cellulose binding where it meets the body, this is quite common with nitro finishes.

Complete with the original "Custom Shop Historic" hard case, there is no COA as was often the case with these early custom shop instruments. Its a great sounding and easy to play guitar, ready for a new home.
