Very Cool 1973/74 Lake Placid Blue Fender Precision Bass in Very Good condition!
Our latest addition to our wall of basses in store! This is our gorgeous 1973/74 USA Fender Precision Bass finished in an iconic Lake Placid Blue! A go-to bass for many industry pros since its release, the P-Bass is a staple in popular music for both live performance & recording!
Our 1973/74 P-Bass is in super condition for an instrument knocking 50 years of rocking service! As you can see from our images the P-Bass's serial number on its neck plate dates to 1973 however there is one pot that dates to 1974, hence our reason for listing this as a '73/'74 bass. The neck heel has been stamped as being inspected by D. Torres & the neck pocket of the body by A. Murillo, both known Fender employees of this period. You may also see in our images that this bass once had an 'Ash Tray' bridge cover & Pickup cover installed at some point in its past, both of these are not included. The overall condition of the bass is superb for its age and while it does bear some cosmetic wear & tear in the form of some chips & dings, it still plays & sounds stunning with a pickup reading of 10.95ohm & a lovely weight of 8.7lb. This is a superb P-Bass that would easily take pride of place in anyone's collection
As is standard practice with any new arrival in store, this very cool '73/'74 P-Bass has been through the trusted hands of our team in our onsite workshop to ensure it is in tip-top shape for its new home and owner!
Our beautiful '73/'74 Fender Precision Bass comes with an after market square Kinsman hardcase (also well loved)
